3. What is the difference between Desktop and Mobile Lightroom Presets
The main difference between desktop and mobile Lightroom presets is the platform on which they are used.
Desktop Lightroom Presets are designed to be used with the Lightroom Classic desktop application. They can be installed and used on a computer and require a subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud to access the Lightroom Classic software. Desktop presets come in the format of .lrtemplate and .xmp, and usually have more options and adjustments than mobile presets.
Mobile Lightroom Presets, on the other hand, are designed to be used with the Lightroom mobile app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices. They can be used on a smartphone or tablet and can be installed through the Lightroom app. Mobile presets come in the format of .dng and .xmp, and are more limited in the adjustments they can make compared to desktop presets.
In summary, the main difference between the two is the platform, but also the level of adjustments and options that can be made, mobile presets are more limited in their adjustments, while desktop presets offer more options.
